YAY!!! Ava was so excited to put the star on top of the advent tree this morning!! It was the very first thing she did when we came out to the living room.
What an exciting day! Mommy stayed up late last night baking a HUGE batch of sugar cookies! We were decorating cookies right after breakfast, by 8am!!
After that we watched "The Grinch" and got ready to head over to Aunt Na and Uncle Todd's house. We had so much fun! Our whole family was there! Christina made an AWESOME dinner. My Niece Jessica was so cute with Ava and Reese. She always swoops them up right away when we get together. She read them stories and kept them busy playing. We opened a few presents. Ava and Reese both got a purse from Grandma. They also got some awesome toys from Uncle Chad and Aunt Na, Uncle Todd and their cousins.
We had agreed not to do gifts this year, but Grandma surprised us all with these cute little gingerbread house ornaments. They were so cute, and hold a lot of sentimental value. Grandma makes gingerbread houses every year for us, but next year at Christmas, she will be in Texas serving a mission for the church. The ornaments will be a (tearful) and great reminder of her next year. :(
We all gave Grandma a fleece blanket with our pictures on it for her to take to Texas with her when she goes. It was hard to know that Christmas next year won't be the same. We will miss you SO much Momma!!
My Mom is going to be so mad that I posted this picture, but I just love her so much and I am going to miss the crying face!!!!
Cookies and milk for Santa. A huge carrot for the Reindeer... we're good!!! Reese wanted to eat Santa's cookies. She just had her teeth brushed and wasn't too happy that Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let her!
