A quick post to sum up May!

A picnic in Reese's crib! Reese loves her crib. She always asks "I jumping?" when she wants to get in. Then she jumps...it scares me! Crazy kiddo! Ava likes to get in there with her, but Ava knows she is too heavy to jump. Today they had a picnic in there. Ava thought it was pretty cool...

Beach day at preschool!

Ava had beach day today at preschool! It was SO cool! We went to a place called salt water state park. The tide was super low and there was so much wildlife to discover! It was really amazing, and even I discovered things I had never seen! Ava's teacher, Mrs. Spencer had a list of things they were looking for and they found them all! there were volunteers there from the Seattle aquarium to answer questions. The kids got to pick up the big rocks and find bull fish and fish eggs underneath. We saw crabs everywhere, tons of gooey ducks, a moon snail, starfish, everything!!! Ava loved it!!!

 Reese was a little less impressed by the much she had to walk through, and we had to hold her a few times. She did pretty good though. She was grossed out by the crabs. She does NOT like spiders and kept saying "Pider!! pider!!" I guess they kinda do look like spiders....

Poor sick Ava!

Ava has had a cough for a month! Poor kid! We finally decided to take her in. She had a chest X-ray done, and it didn't show that her lungs were too bad, but she did see what could develop, or may be starting to develop walking pneumonia. She put Ava on a 5 day antibiotic. This was the same antibiotic that made Ava throw up last time! It tastes terrible, I don't blame her!! We headed to the dollar rack and I let Ava pick out 5 toys. I told her every night she would get one toy if she took her medicine and kept it down! It worked!!! We plugged her nose while she took it, and she drank lots of water afterward. She was so excited about getting a new toy each time that she quickly forgot about the yuck taste in her mouth!! Her cough is gone!! YAY!! Potty!!

We are starting to work a little more on potty training Reese! She went twice today and only had one accident while wearing panties! GO REESE GO!!!

Rain!

I love Washington! The rain gets in the way sometimes, but it can be fun too! There is nothing as great as a serious downpour! I'm so glad Ava loves the rain!! We always hurry and get out her rain boots and send her out when it is really coming down! She loves it!!! She loves the immediate bath time afterward too! Hehe.

I had to grab my camera real quick when I saw this. Reese wanted to blow them SO bad!

Mother's Day!

YAY!! I have the best job in the world! Ava was so excited about Mother's Day! On Thursday she had a little Mother's Day program at preschool for all the Mom's. We got to go and watch them sing songs and do little skits. It was so cute, and you could tell the kids worked so hard to memorize all their parts. At the end of the program Ava brought me a little wrapped present. It was a wood birdhouse she had painted at school. She was SO excited for me to open it! It's so funny how something so simple can probably be one of the best gifts I have ever received!
Ava and Reese brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Mother's day. After they went to bed, Rafael make me some chocolate dipped strawberries! YUM!!!!! I love my little family!!

Reese approves! She ate everything on her plate and wanted more! We just gave her the bowl. YUM!!

Grandpa's visit!

Grandpa came to see us today! Ava and Reese have not seen him for 6 months! He has been on vacation in Arizona. It didn't take either one of them more than 5 seconds to warm up to Grandpa again! We played in the backyard for awhile, and then went to pick up Daddy from work and went out to dinner. It was so fun! Thank you Grandpa!!
