Rafael went back to work last Thursday. :( It was so sad for us! When Ava woke up, we went upstairs to get Reese. As soon as Ava stood on her toes to see in the bed she said "Where is Daddy?". We got really used to having him home while he was here all the time for 3 weeks! It was soooo nice. I miss him so much when he is gone.
Everything has been going great! Reese is so sweet. I just love her soooo much. She is such a good baby. She makes things pretty easy on us. She sleeps a ton. I took her to the doctor last Thursday because I suspected she had Thrush. I could see the white spots in her mouth. It turns out she had it, so now we are giving her some oral medication that we have to rub around her mouth for a few weeks until it goes away. It hasn't caused any problems with breastfeeding so that is good! It is starting to go away now. She doesn't seem phased by it at all. She is doing really well with the medicine too! She just lets me do it with no complaints! Yay!!
Ava is such a good big sister to her. I love watching Ava baby her little sister. When Reese wakes up, Ava always comes over and looks at her and says "Awwww she is so precious"... lol!!
Ava cracks me up. She is so smart. I love this age! It is so nice to be able to hold a conversation with her! Tonight I was laying in her bed before bed time. Both of our heads were on her pillow. I started to sing 'you are my sunshine'. After a few words in, she turned her head and looked at me and said "No, that is kinda boring". I said "ok, let's do another one." I started to sing 'itsy bitsy spider' and she said "No, that one is kinda boring too." Lol!! She cracks me up. She finally settled for the 'I caught a baby bumblebee' song. At least she is being honest!
My favorite Ava words are Strawberry (Strawbruary) pronounced like February with a straw... and Remote (Mamote). Other than those two words, she pronounces everything else very well!! :) I am going to hold on to my strawbruary and mamote as long as I can because the days of baby talk are going away... :(
