4 months old!!

I can't believe my girl is 4 months old already!

She had her 4 month check-up today with her pediatrician. She is 17 pounds!! She is still in the 95th percentile for weight and the 90th for height. She is big and tall! Ava weighed 20 pounds when she was 1. Hehe. I love my chubby little Reese. She checked out with a clean bill of health! She has a birthmark on her leg the the doctor wanted us to keep an eye on in case she got any more of them. It is a white birthmark. If she gets any more of them, then we would need to see a neurologist. I am not too concerned about it though. We noticed that birthmark when she was about a month old, and nothing has come up since.
The doctor told us to start Reese on rice cereal! She said usually she would wait until 6 months, but Reese spits up a lot so she thought the rice cereal would help her keep her milk down. We gave her the first round of cereal tonight! She did really good with it! She kept opening her mouth for the spoon. She didn't cringe until we got about half way through the cereal. YAY Reese!

Ava and Reese are constant reminders to me of how learthearted life can be. I LOVE them for making me laugh 110 times a day!

Grandma

Ava put on Mr. Potato Head's glasses today and walked up to me and said "Look, I'm Grandma". Haha!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We had a pretty laid back weekend. We made a trip to Costco, but other than that we stayed home all weekend! Ava helped me wrap Daddy's Father Day present on Saturday night. Once she gave it to him, there was no waiting to open it until Sunday, so Raf opened it on Saturday night. He got some new shoes and an i-tunes gift card. Happy Father's Day Rafael! I love you SOOOO much! Thank you so much for being such an amazing husband and father to me and our baby girls!!! We are SO lucky!!!!

Updates!

Standing at 3.5 months?! Daddy's hands were just outside of the picture to grab her. It was a quick picture! She does have really strong legs though! She has been able to hold her weight on her legs since we brought her home from the hospital!

Reese has figured out how to jump in her doorway bouncer. She jumps all over the place! It is the one thing that gives my ever growing right bicep a break! This kid likes to be held.... a lot!
She is drooling so much, when I take her out I have to clean up her pooled up drool on the plastic front part!





A few days ago, Ava was eating lunch. Reese was sitting in the bumbo on the kitchen table watching Ava. I got up to grab something out of the fridge and I hear Reese laugh! I look over and Ava has a totally straight face and then looks at Reese and blows a raspberry... Reese busts up again! Oh my gosh, it was the cutest thing! Ava was trying to make her laugh. Ever since then, Ava has been feverishly working on making Reese laugh. It doesn't take much. Reese LOVES her big sister.

Ava the gymnast!

Ava had her little gymnastics ceremony this week! It is the end of the school year so she got a medal! We re-enrolled her for summer, so she will still get to go back next week. Ava loves gymnastics! She calls it naskits. She is getting much better about following the structure of the class. She has learned all about waiting her turn. She is quite the daredevil too! Mommy, Daddy and Reese are so proud of you Ava!!

I love my baby's baby blues!!!! I can't take enough pictures of them! There is something so great about a half Mexican tan beauty with blue eyes!

Cool park!!

We found the coolest park ever! And the even cooler thing? It is only about 1/2 mile from where the house we are moving to is! It was so fun to take Ava there. It was in the middle of some really deep woods. There is a super shallow creek that runs right next to it. It kinda reminded me of when I was growing up. Our house was surrounded by woods and we did a lot of playing out there!

Reese is the sweetest baby! She is so happy and smiley. Even when she is crying... if I hold her up and smile at her, she will smile and cry at the same time. It is hilarious! She laughs so much now, we are loving it!!

Ava and I painted our toenails the other day. Well, I painted Ava's toenails. I got up to get something and when I came back, Ava decided she could do it herself. The worst part is, I had to get a picture so it gave her time to make a HUGE mess!
