After we played on the jungle gym for awhile, we walked down to the lake and fed the ducks and geese. Ava has never done that before so I kinda wondered what she would do. She had fun throwing the bread and watching them eat it. Some of those geese are mean!! There was one that got really close to Ava and hissed at her because she was holding a piece of bread. I got so mad at it, I threw the plastic bread bag at it to try and scare it away. It didn't even move!!! I grabbed Ava and we backed up a bit. I couldn't believe the dumb goose wasn't scared of something 10 times bigger than he!
We went to Ava's friend Bella's birthday party tonight. She turned 7. Ava ADORES Senna and Bella. Every time she sees a little girl with hair like them she goes on and on about "Bella!" "Senna!". I love to watch her play with them! There were 4 little girls there, all older than Ava. When they run around and chase each other Ava follows right behind! She laughs when they laugh... it is so cute!! I just love how she involves herself in everything they do.
Yesterday was a mess! I have been lucky with pregnancy emotions this pregnancy! I haven't noticed them getting out of hand too much. Ava, for some reason was having a bad day yesterday. We tried to go shopping in the morning. I wanted to see if I could get a pair of maternity jeans since my regular jeans are getting snug. She wasn't having it at all! She was whining the whole time. I decided we better leave before we annoy other shoppers and try again another day. When we got home Ava threw a HUGE tantrum because she wanted to play the "Puter" (computer) and I wouldn't let her. She has never played on the computer before, so it wasn't like it was weird for me to tell her not to touch it. She started balling and totally yelled at me! Well, then I started crying... WOW. Pregnancy emotions and 2 year old emotions didn't mix that day! I sent Rafael a text message at work and told him that both his girls were crying and he needed to come home because there was too much "girl" in the air! Isn't that terrible?!
Other than that little episode, things have been good this week. I had a doctor's appointment with the Endocrinologist to check my Thyroid. My last few blood tests have shown my levels to be a little high. It was very comforting to talk to the doc. He told me it seemed to be minor and probably would not require any medication. I guess they will just monitor my Thyroid levels throughout my pregnancy to make sure they don't get out of hand. He took a blood test again, and we are still waiting to hear about that.
I think I am feeling the baby move!! I know it sounds crazy, because I am only about 14 weeks. I googled it and it seems that there were a lot of people that said you can feel the baby that early the second time around. The last ultrasound I had, the ultrasound tech said something about the way my uterus was sitting (or something) would probably mean I would feel the baby earlier than normal. I guess she was right!! I am not feeling kicking, but more like tumbling if that makes sense... :) Almost like the baby is doing little flips!
Here are some pictures of our adventures!
Ava's first time on a big girl swing! She did great! She held on tight and let me push her.
