So pretty!!

I had to offer chocolate to get Ava to wear the headband long enough for me to get some pictures. Ava cracks me up. She has such a cute personality! She is so sweet and gentle, but still so goofy and silly!

Here are a few pictures I got today. I know they are all very similar, but how many times do I actually get pictures while she leaves a headband on?!

This is what Ava does when I tell her to smile. Haha!

Pictures!

We were having fun emailing Daddy pictures of us while he was at work today. These first 3 pictures are some on the ones we took.

I know I have written this before, but Ava LOVES Bella and Senna! They came over last night for a little while, and tonight we watched Senna while her Mommy and Bella went to a parent/teacher conference. Ava was in heaven! When she knows they are coming, she waits by the front door for them! It is so cute. :)

*Smooosh* We missed Daddy a lot today so we sent him lots of pictures at work from home. :) I do realize I need more pictures of me and my girl. I am always the one holding the camera!! I will work on that!!

Bella, Ava, and Senna.

Silly faces!

Coloring!

Ava is getting really good at coloring! She colors the faces on every page in her coloring books. When she is done with one face, she will move to the next page. I love watching her little mind work when she is concentrating! :)

So smart!

Today we went to the pharmacy to see about getting our flu shots! Ava was having so much fun in the toy isle! When we left, we told Ava that it was time to go. On the way out Ava said "I don't want to go". We cracked up! She is forming these perfect sentences lately! I love it!!!

When we say bye to anybody/anything lately, she also throws in a "Be back soon" and a "See you later"! It is soooo cute! She is so much fun!! :)

It's a GIRL!!

Ava is going to have a little sister!!!  We had our 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday.  It was so much fun to see our little angel moving around!  Ava pointed to the screen a few times and said "Baby!"  I think she might be understanding a little more now.

Grandma came with us!  It was so fun to have her there.  She was there on our 20 week ultrasound when we were pregnant with Ava, so it would not have been the same without her!  She brought two little stuffed puppies, one pink and one blue.  The ultrasound tech handed Ava the pink one and we all closed our eyes so Ava could tell us what we were having! :)

We have been talking a lot about her "little sister" and that she's going to have a little friend to play with soon!

Look at that little foot stuck up in the air!  I love it!!

The profile looks exactly like Ava's 20 week picture!  I know they all look the same anyways, but we compared them side by side and everything is exactly the same!  Maybe Ava will have a little twin.

One, two, free!

Ava can count things up to five now!! Well, actually she can count all the way up to fifteen.

I mean that she can actually tell you how many she has... up to five. I am so proud of her! She is our little smartie pants!

One,two,free trains!! :)

Where have we been?!

Boy am I ever behind on my blogging!!!

Ava is sick....again. She got better for 1 week! She has a pretty bad runny nose. She has been sick since last Sunday. The good thing at least is that her spirits are still high! She is super happy as normal and doesn't seem to be letting it get to her too bad. She isn't sleeping very good, but I guess that is to be expected when your stuffed up.

Ava is such a doll! She is so affectionate, I love it! Today Daddy took her to the gym with him so I could take a nap. At the front door, Ava gave me a big hug and kiss and touched my face and said "Sweet Mommy". I almost died!! Then she just keep hugging and kissing me. She makes my heart melt!!

She has become pretty crafty with the loves too. When she doesn't want to eat something she says "Oh hug Mommy, I wanna kiss Mommy". I know exactly what she is trying to do, and it usually works! How can you turn that down?!!

Last week at gymnastics there was a little girl that hit another little girl on the head. She started crying. Ava stopped what she was doing and just watched that little girl cry. I could tell by Ava's face that she was very concerned! Once the little girl stopped crying, Ava walked over and bent down and said really quietly "Don't cry". OH MY GOODNESS!! It almost made me cry!!! She is so sweet and tender. I just love the heart that she has, and I am loving watching her learn and watching her little personality develop!!! We are so lucky!!

Not much has been happening since the last blog post! I have been spending a lot of time with my friend Andrea. Last week we went to the gym a bunch of times! It was great! I spend most of my time on the treadmill, but the boring treadmill goes by fast when you have someone to chat with!! :)

Ava really likes the gym!! They have a bunch of toys for her to play with while we work out. Andrea has been picking us up in the morning. It has been really fun for Ava because she gets to see Senna and Bella for a little bit before they go to school. Ava LOVES them!

The little mini money is growing great! I feel the baby moving ALL the time now! I love it! Today the baby was going crazy and I just watched my belly. I saw it move!! It was so fun!! I can't believe how big my belly is already! They really aren't lying when they tell you how much faster you pop out with baby #2! I noticed yesterday that my belly button is already sticking out through my shirt! I swear that didn't happen until the very end with Ava!

We have our 20 week ultrasound next Wednesday!! We can't wait to find out what we are having, and to see our little bun!! :)

Rafael is doing good. He has been working a lot of overtime and I miss him. :( I am kinda selfish of him and don't like to share him on his weekends! He has been working the past 3 Saturday's and will work again this weekend. They are really behind at work and need a lot of help right now. The extra money is nice, but being able to see my hubby all day is nicer!! Hopefully not too much longer of this!

I promise to try and get back on top of posting something every couple days!

Here are a few pictures from this last week.

Watching Thomas the Train videos on the computer

Little rock star!

Every night when I lay Ava down, she asks for her stuffed animals one by one. She wants them stacked on top of her. She is so silly. She wants to make sure she has all of them!

Looking up at Mommy. That white thing is my belly!! :)

Helping Mommy clean the fridge. I love how she wants to do everything I do!

Puyallup Fair!

We went to the Puyallup fair last Friday! Grandma came up in the morning and we went for a few hours. We went home for Ava's nap, picked up Daddy from work, and then went back!

I am so bummed that I didn't have my camera in the morning. Ava was such a goof! I missed some great photo opportunities!

I promised Ava that morning that she was going to get to ride a horsey at the fair. When my Mom and I got there, we couldn't find pony rides anywhere! Ava was constantly reminding me that she was supposed to go ride a horsey, so we had to settle for the merry-go-round. Ava didn't mind at all! It wasn't her first time on a merry-go-round, but she was so excited, you would think it was! The first time around she was shaking she was so excited! Every time we would make it around the circle and she would see Grandma she would point and open her mouth so big and yell! It was soooo cute!

We ended up going on the merry-go-round 3 times that day! We had a lot of fun because Ava was JUST tall enough to do some of the rides! She got to go down a big potato bag slide with Daddy, go on a train ride with Mommy, and ride in a car all by herself!

Ava loved having Grandma there. We drove separate cars back to the fair in the afternoon. Ava was pretty concerned that "Gramma comin!!" I am really bummed that I didn't get any pictures of Ava and Grandma together!! :(

Ava is back!!

Finally!! Oh my gosh, I missed her so much! That was the longest sickness she has ever had to go through. Two weeks! 3 trips to the doctor, a lot of crying, a lot of temporary tattoos to coax her into taking medicine, barely any sleep....whew! I am so glad it is over!

I don't think she had Mono. We never did have the test done, but she is better now. I never got it too bad, and Rafael is better now too! YAY!
Ava has been sleeping SO good the last 4 or 5 days since she has been feeling better. She has been taking 2 hour naps and sleeping all night until 7:30am! It has been great for me to be able to catch up on some sleep too.

Last week we saw a commercial for a new Thomas the Train movie. We found out that Fred Meyer carried it, so we all headed over to pick it up. When we walked in to the DVD section there was an entire wall of DVD movies. Within seriously a second Ava saw the Thomas movie and started freaking out!! We couldn't believe out of all those DVD's that she happened to see the Thomas one. She is such a Thomas addict! If she sees ANYTHING that has to do with a train she is going crazy!

A few weeks ago when we took her to the doctor, there was a train book called "Tootle" in the room. Of course Ava was all over it. The next time we went to the doctors office we got a different room. All she was doing the whole time was asking for the Thomas book. On the way out, the nurse asked if Ava wanted a toy or a sticker. We walked by the old room with the train book and Ava saw the book right away. She was beside herself!!! The nurse had seen how much Ava was asking for the book, so she decided to just give it to her. That was so sweet of her! Ava loves the book and has been walking around with it ever since!

She has Thomas jammies that she asks to wear to bed every night. I think she needs train therapy. Before bed every night she asks to kiss and hug her trains. It is so cute! I thought that Thomas would have gotten old by now, but nooo way! :)

Ava loves magazines! She is always looking through them and wanting to bring them in the car with us when we go anywhere. I was joking to Rafael that pretty soon she will be reading the News Tribune in the car. She loves to read!! She pretends that she is reading aloud all the time. She will just spout out every word she can think of. She is getting good at her letters too! She can recognize a lot of the letters in the alphabet. We are working on that now.

A rose from our garden! It smells amaaaaazing!!!

Sick!

Ava has been sick with a cold since last Saturday!! We took her to the doctor on Tues. Everything looked ok and the doc said it was probably something viral and should go away over the next day or two. Well, today is Friday and she is worse. She fell asleep on me on the couch this morning. She could hardly breathe! Sometimes she would breathe in a little and just stop. I kept having to shake her to get her to keep breathing. I'm sure she would wake herself up, but it was so scary!!

We took her to the doc again today. He said nothing had changed and he thinks she may have Mono! He suggested we wait out the weekend and if she doesn't improve by Monday, we have an appointment for a blood test. I feel so bad for her. She is so uncomfortable. Sometimes she will be fine, and then just start crying. It is breaking my heart! Despite it all though, she still manages to find time to laugh and dance!

She has been waking up between 4:30 and 5:30 am every morning, and not napping well. That has been hard for me, since I am extra sleepy pregnant. We will get through it though! I just wish there was more I could do to help her.

Here is a picture of my sick angel asleep on the couch.

Mouse!

So I know these pictures will make Grandma freak, but I had to post them. We went to a friend's for dinner last night. Her girls have pet rats. Ava looooves them! She thinks they are mice and says "Mouse mouse mouse." They don't freak me out or even gross me out at all because I used to have one. I think they are cute. :)

My friend's daughter's LOVE Ava. They are so cute and watch her so well when we go over there! Ava seems to be much more interested in older girls that ones of her own age. She follows them around and tries to do what they are doing... she laughs when they laugh, it is so funny!

Hiding spot!

This is Ava's hiding spot. It is between her crib and the wall, behind her clothes hamper. She sits back there and says "Where is Ava"?

I took her to her first gymnastics class for this semester today! The age group she is in is 18 months to 2.5 years. She was the biggest one of the class!! She used to be the smallest! It made me realize just how fast she is growing. The span of age is only 1 year, but she is SOOO much different than the younger kids! She used to be like that... 6 months ago. Wow...she changes so fast that I don't even realize it!

I am LOVING staying at home with my girl! I am trying to soak up every moment I can. She is such a little sweetheart! She is so affectionate, I love it. She is always wanting to hug and kiss everyone and everything! When we leave the park she wants to kiss and hug whoever she had met and played with while we were there. Yesterday we went to the park and there was a man from the City doing some work. Ava followed him around everywhere babbling about this and that. When he had to go she said "Oh Kiss! Kiss!!"

My favorite word of the moment is "Lullafly". That is what she calls a butterfly. It is so cute!! Oh and "Opatapus" is Octopus. I love it!

Happy Birthday Uncle Chad!

We celebrated Uncle Chad's birthday last weekend! I made some lemon cupcakes. My Mom suggested adding a mint leaf which gave them the perfect touch they needed!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE CHAD!
