Fun in the sun!!

It has been beautiful outside!! We have spent a lot of time in the backyard and at the park this past week! Ava asks to go to the park about 20 times a day. She loves it!

I have been feeling ok. I get pretty tired sometimes and I think my nausea is a little worse with this pregnancy than it was with Ava. I have a hard time eating an entire meal. It is so frustrating!! The food will look SOOO good and I will sit down and get sick after two bites. Ugh!! Hopefully not too much longer and I will feel better! :)

I took this picture tonight. I was so excited to get it! Ava gets this cute little inquisitive look on her face sometimes when she is concentrating. She sticks out her upper lip a little and wrinkles her eyebrows. I love it! I am so glad I got a picture of it. I don't ever want to forget it!

Baby Zuniga #2!!

We are prego again!! YAY!! It took us one year to get pregnant with Ava, and only one month for this one!

I found out a few days before father's day. It's kinda funny because Rafael kept saying "maybe you are pregnant", because I was tired the whole week before I took the test! I told Rafael on Father's day. :) It was SO hard to keep it a secret for 2 days!!!

We had our first appointment with the doctor yesterday. We got to hear the heartbeat and see the little growing one. We took Ava to the appointment with us. She was so funny. Rafael had her on his lap in the room. When they had me lay down Ava kept saying "Mommy nigh nigh, shhhh". Then when they turned out the lights so we could see the ultrasound screen she kept saying "I scared, I scared". I don't even think she knows what it means to be scared. Then when she saw the ultrasound she said "Horsey!". Haha... so I am having a horsey....

Ava has been coming up to me a lot and lifting up my shirt and saying "Baby tummy". I don't think she understands it yet, but I keep telling her there is a baby in Mommy's tummy. :)

I didn't have ANY nausea until last week! I was super excited and thought maybe I would skip that stage!! Nope.. it's here now. :( It seems a little worse than I remember with Ava. Hopefully I will only have 4 more weeks of nausea and it will go away in the second trimester!! :)

Happy 4th!!

Happy 4th of July!!

We went to my sister's house in North Bend to celebrate. Their culdesac has a little party every year and everyone lights their own fireworks. It was raining!! We got a little bit of a break around 9pm so it worked out ok. Ava did really good! She LOVED the pop-it's! She watched my sister step on the dud's and decided that meant that every time you throw one, you have to go find it and step on it! It was so cute! :) Ava got a little scared of the loud fireworks, but for the most part, she did great!

We have had gorgeous weather the last few days!! We have gone to the park every single day, and spent lots of time playing in the backyard. I took of everything but Ava's diaper and lathered her up with sunscreen. When I gave her a bath that night she had diaper tan lines!! I guess the sunscreen didn't work as well as I had thought! She wasn't red at all, just a little browner. She is so lucky to have natural olive skin that doesn't burn!! I'm jealous!!

I have realized the last few days that Ava understand a lot more than I thought! When we were at the park there was a little boy that had a power wheels car. Ava was fascinated by it and kept messing with it. Finally I stood in her way so she couldn't get to it. She threw her little tantrum and I asked her if she wanted to go home. She said "No" and I said "Ok, than you need to listen to Mommy". She immediately stopped crying and didn't mess with the toy again!! Later that night when I told her it was bath time she got excited like she always does. Daddy told her she needed to put away her toys first. She opened her toy box and put them all away!! I was SO proud!!

Hi!!
We have had great weather the last few days! We have spent lots of time outside in the yard and at the park.

Today Ava started yelling "Honnneeyyy"!!! in the same tone and volume that I call Rafael from another room in the house. It is so funny. She is such a little sponge!




This is the coolest bath toy ever!!! It has a little pump that continuously pumps the bath water through the spout. That way there is running water the whole bath time! Ava loves it and hardly pays her other bath toys any attention now! It came with little cups that have different spouts and drains to play with!

First juice box!! Haha, not that it is a major milestone or anything... I just thought the picture was cute. :) But coincidentally.... it really is her first juice box.

Gymnastics award Ceremony!

Today was the medal ceremony at gymnastics for Ava!! It was so fun! She got to get up in front of everyone and they all cheered and clapped for her. She liked being in the spotlight so much that I had to hold her back from going back up there when they called everyone else's names! It was really cute, and so much fun!

We enrolled Ava in Summer gymnastics too, so she will be back next week for more! It has been so fun having her there. She loves to go!

I have had a picture of some random woman I found on the internet saved on my computer for 2 years, knowing that eventually I would have hair like her's! I finally went for it! I looove it! :)

Ava didn't even look at me funny when I got home. It was like nothing had changed! Haha.

Hi!!!

I haven't posted in over a week!!
I have been watching my friend's daughter during the week and it is hard to find time to blog! :)

What is up with all the rain?! I went through Ava's closet today to pack up her clothes that don't fit anymore. She has SOOO many summer dresses and it's too cold for her to wear them!!

I have been enjoying being home SO much! I have definitely been busy, but I am loving every minute of it! Ava has gotten pretty used to seeing me every morning. A few weeks ago she woke up at 4 in the morning and laid there for about 10 minutes just calling me. "Momma....Moooommmmmma". It was so cute!! She finally fell back asleep (thank goodness), but I have to admit it was hard to not go in there and squeeze her!

She is still pretty clingy to me when we are at home. A lot of the time she wont let me out of her sight! It makes me feel loved, but MAN! Hehe.

The other day Raf, Ava and I were all hanging out in her room. She walked out and closed the door leaving Raf and I in there. Then she opened the door and said "Good moooorning"!! Oh my gosh we laughed so hard. It was hilarious. She said it in the exact tone that I use every morning when I walk into her room. Now every time she opens a door she says good morning. She says it so clear too! She says every letter!

I love all of Ava's talking. She can pretty much tell us anything/everything now. If we can't figure out what she is trying to say, she will grab your hand and say "Go walk" and she will take you and show you what she is talking about.

We started potty training a few weeks ago. Ava went potty once last week! I felt so bad because when she did it I got really excited and said "Oh my gosh"!!! and it scared her! She couldn't figure out why Mommy freaked out. It was so sad! She hasn't gone since, but asks to sit on the potty all the time. The last few days we have slowed down a bit. I think she needs a little more time before she is ready. Not to mention.... I go through twice as many diapers! Every time I put her on the potty I put a new diaper on her... then 20 minutes later she wants to sit on the potty again.
