Hello!

Ava and I went to the coolest park today!! It is in Puyallup. We drive by it all the time, but have never been until today. There was 2 jungle gyms to play on, lots of grassy area to run, and a lake with ducks and geese! :) We spent a lot of time there this morning! It is so fun to watch Ava play. There were a couple little girls that were chasing each other screaming. Ava joined right in running after them and screaming.

After we played on the jungle gym for awhile, we walked down to the lake and fed the ducks and geese. Ava has never done that before so I kinda wondered what she would do. She had fun throwing the bread and watching them eat it. Some of those geese are mean!! There was one that got really close to Ava and hissed at her because she was holding a piece of bread. I got so mad at it, I threw the plastic bread bag at it to try and scare it away. It didn't even move!!! I grabbed Ava and we backed up a bit. I couldn't believe the dumb goose wasn't scared of something 10 times bigger than he!

We went to Ava's friend Bella's birthday party tonight. She turned 7. Ava ADORES Senna and Bella. Every time she sees a little girl with hair like them she goes on and on about "Bella!" "Senna!". I love to watch her play with them! There were 4 little girls there, all older than Ava. When they run around and chase each other Ava follows right behind! She laughs when they laugh... it is so cute!! I just love how she involves herself in everything they do.

Yesterday was a mess! I have been lucky with pregnancy emotions this pregnancy! I haven't noticed them getting out of hand too much. Ava, for some reason was having a bad day yesterday. We tried to go shopping in the morning. I wanted to see if I could get a pair of maternity jeans since my regular jeans are getting snug. She wasn't having it at all! She was whining the whole time. I decided we better leave before we annoy other shoppers and try again another day. When we got home Ava threw a HUGE tantrum because she wanted to play the "Puter" (computer) and I wouldn't let her. She has never played on the computer before, so it wasn't like it was weird for me to tell her not to touch it. She started balling and totally yelled at me! Well, then I started crying... WOW. Pregnancy emotions and 2 year old emotions didn't mix that day! I sent Rafael a text message at work and told him that both his girls were crying and he needed to come home because there was too much "girl" in the air! Isn't that terrible?!

Other than that little episode, things have been good this week. I had a doctor's appointment with the Endocrinologist to check my Thyroid. My last few blood tests have shown my levels to be a little high. It was very comforting to talk to the doc. He told me it seemed to be minor and probably would not require any medication. I guess they will just monitor my Thyroid levels throughout my pregnancy to make sure they don't get out of hand. He took a blood test again, and we are still waiting to hear about that.

I think I am feeling the baby move!! I know it sounds crazy, because I am only about 14 weeks. I googled it and it seems that there were a lot of people that said you can feel the baby that early the second time around. The last ultrasound I had, the ultrasound tech said something about the way my uterus was sitting (or something) would probably mean I would feel the baby earlier than normal. I guess she was right!! I am not feeling kicking, but more like tumbling if that makes sense... :) Almost like the baby is doing little flips!

Here are some pictures of our adventures!

Ava's first time on a big girl swing! She did great! She held on tight and let me push her.

Kisses!

It was windy today!! Ava was listening to it in this picture.

Busy weekend!

Hi!!

Rafael painted the bathroom today. It needed it sooooo bad. Thank you so much baby!! Poor guy spent his whole weekend getting it primed and painted. He is so wonderful!! :) I love you hunnee!

I made homemade suckers today! It is one of my fond childhood memories when my Mom would make suckers. Unfortunately for me, it was a bit of a disaster. I only came out with about 7 or 8 edible ones. I was trying to make dinner at the same time I was making the suckers. It didn't work out too well.
I ordered some more candy flavoring online, so I will try again in a week or so!

Here are some pics from today!

YAY for homemade suckers! Ava liked them. :)

Patiently watching Daddy paint the bathroom.

Gymnastics!

We enrolled Ava in the next semester of Gymnastics! We were going to take a break since the baby will be coming, but we decided to re enroll her. She loves it so much! She asks all the time if she can go to "Nastics". She even recognizes the intersections on South Hill that are close to the gym. Whenever we go up there for something she says "I wanna go nastics, I wanna go nastics"!!
For the summer classes we have been going on Saturdays so both Rafael and I can take her. She has fun having both Mommy and Daddy there to chase her!

Little mini monkey!

These pictures were taken last week at just about 12 weeks! My Mom has a friend/co worker that did the ultrasound for us for free!! She is so sweet! It was so much fun to be able to spy on our little growing bun!

Little cute hands and feet!

Face shot!

Play date!

We had a play date at Lindsey's house on Monday! It's so fun to watch our kid's play together! We had some fun talks and it was a great time!! I love that we have all kept in touch since High school! :)

Monkeys on a bed!!

Ava was trying to cuddle. :)

Name train!

When I was at my friend Lindsey's on Monday, she had these cute little name trains in her son's rooms! She got them at a toy store in Issaquah for $7.00 each letter! She filled me in on the secret that they sell them unpainted at Michael's. I went on Tuesday (I was that excited to make it), and they were only 99 cents each!! It took me about 30-45 minutes per letter to paint and total cost was $5.00! It would make a great inexpensive baby shower gift!! I love the way it turned out. Ava has been asking to play with it ever since I started. Tomorrow I will give it to her. :)

Update!

Hi!! We had an ultrasound on Thursday morning! I have great ultrasound pictures to post, but I can't get the disc to work right on my computer. I need to get the pictures scanned instead and post them that way. It was so fun to see the baby! He/she was moving a little bit, and curled up with his/her little hands by the face. It was so sweet!!

Here are some pictures from the last few days. We spent some time outside in the pool today. It was beautiful!

This first picture I have to explain. Ava was looking at this little book and there is a picture of some boats. She brought the book to me and said "I wanna go ride boat". So I said "Ok, I will see if we can plan a ferry ride sometime". Next thing she does is put the book on the floor and sit on it! I guess she didn't want to wait for the ferry....

Ride the boat!

Ava saying "Choo choo"

Strawberry Shortcake! I love that she is still around! She even still smells like strawberries! :)

6 years!!

Happy Anniversary baby!!
Saturday was not only Ava's party, but Rafael and I's 6 year wedding anniversary!! My Mom stayed after Ava's party to babysit, so Rafael and I could go out to dinner.
I can't believe it has been 6 years! It has totally flown by. I am the luckiest girl alive to have my sweet hubby!! He is my whole world! I love you SOOOOO much baby!! Thank you for being everything I ever dreamed of. Thank you for being an amazing husband and a perfect father!! I can't wait to get old with you!!

Awww!!! :)
12 week baby bump! I am wearing a maternity shirt in this picture. I swear they make you look more pregnant!

Ava's birthday party!

Ava's birthday party was last Saturday!

I have been overwhelmed by how many pictures I had to go through!! We took so many!!
The party was great! We decided to do a beach theme, since the beach has been a hit with Ava lately! I forgot to take pictures of the table, but it turned out great!
Ava got spoiled! I told everyone not to bring presents, but that doesn't seem to fly with my family!

Mommy and Daddy got Ava a Barbie Power Wheels Jeep!! Woohooo!! She loved it! When she found out it moved, she was a little unsure of it. She has spent a lot of time sitting in it the last few days. Today she sat in it and said "Ready guys"? It cracked me up!! :) She is so silly. She knows the foot pedal is there, and that it makes it go, but she still wont push it yet. She will come around, I am sure. :)

Happy Birthday Ava!!

These are Ava's friends Senna and Bella. They are 5 and 6. Ava LOVES them!
