Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!

Ava was a lady bug. Her costume had wings so she thought she was a Lullafly. Either one works, I guess! :)

Grandma came over and we headed over to the community center. The police department did a little Halloween carnival for kids. It was so fun!! They had games for the kids to play and gave out lots of little prizes! It was packed FULL of people!

We headed home for dinner after that, and then went trick or treating!! Ava was really excited to go! She had been talking about it for a few days. We put on some warmer shoes for her and headed out! She was so cute! She had the knocking thing down quick! She knocked pretty lightly, but most of the time people heard her. When they would answer the door she would say "Trick or Treat" in a high pitched voice. Then she would say "Thank you" the same way. She even asked one lady to "Open it" when she gave her a sucker. Haha. She tried to go in to a few houses, but for the most part, she was pretty good!! We stayed out for about 45 min or so. She got a good amount of loot!

When we got home she started opening up her candy. She would take a few licks of suckers and then ask us "Mommy, hold it, Daddy hold it, Grandma hold it" so she could get another one out and open it. We just let her go through it and try whatever she wanted. :)

She asked a few times today if she could go trick or treat. I assume this will go on for a long time!! She still asks atleast once a day if she can 'go ride Thomas', and that was back in July!

So.... I took 183 pictures. WOW! I narrowed it down to 25. I know... 25!!!

Carving pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins tonight! It was fun! :) Ava wouldn't touch the pumpkin insides with her hands. I guess it was too icky. She is such a girl... :) While Daddy and Mommy were cutting out the faces with sharp knives, Ava painted her pumpkin.
They turned out cute! Now we have a matching pumpkin family on our doorstep! Ava was very excited to see them lit up!! :)

Ava kept telling me today that she wanted to trick or treat. She is excited!! :)

Beautiful day!!

It was gorgeous outside today!! I love it when it is sunny after a week of rain. It is so pretty! Everything is still wet outside, but smells so fresh!

Ava had so much fun! I finally decided to stop telling her to stay out of the puddles and just let her get dirty and have fun. She even sat down in a puddle. We had a bath when we got home. :)

We want to order some wrap canvas photos for the wall. I wanted them to look more like a painting rather than a photo. This is what I came up with after messing with a few pictures we took at the park today.

You will get a better idea of what they will look like if you click them to make them bigger. :)

Fun with Uncles!!

Uncle Ro left tonight! We had fun while he was here! We made a few trips to the starfish store (Toy's R Us). Ava calls it the starfish store because the "R" has a star behind it. Uncle Ro spoiled Ava with some new stuff for her Thomas train set.

Poor Uncle Ro just got over Pneumonia. He started getting sick with some swelling, and sore muscles while he was here. He wasn't feeling too hot. We hope you feel better soon Uncle Ro!! We miss you!!!

Ava is so much fun to talk to! She understands just about everything you say. She says EVERYTHING and surprises me every single day with new sentences! She is singing whole songs now without missing many words. I have been singing her "The sun will come out tomorrow" before bed. We have been talking about what tomorrow will bring and what are plans are, right before she goes to bed. When I leave her room she lays there and sings it. "Tomorrow, tomorrow" it is SO cute!!!
he has also started this new thing a few weeks ago. When I lay her down and pile all her stuffed animals on top of her, she grabs my hand and holds it to her cheek and says "Mommy wait" or "Mommy wait a minute". It completely melts my heart and makes me want to get in her crib with her and go to sleep!!

We got Ava an alphabet puzzle! She is SO smart! She recognizes I would say about 20 of the 26 letters of the alphabet! The puzzle is great. She loves to play with it, and when she takes the letters out, she can match the colors to figure out what order they go in to put them back.

This picture was right before Ro left tonight. Ava said "Uncle Ro gonna go airplane fly sky!"

Ava really liked to watch her Thomas show on Uncle Ro's iphone. She must have asked him 100 times while he was here.
Uncle Cade! Ava was completely beside herself when I told her Uncle Cade was coming to see her. She is so in love with him!! I told her a little earlier in the day that he was coming over that night. As soon as I got her up from her nap she said "I wanna see Uncle Cade". She kept saying that ALL day. She was eating dinner when he finally arrived. When I told her he was here, she started shaking and trying to unbuckle her booster seat to make it to the door.

AWWW!!!!

Uncle Ro had this old picture on his phone. I almost died when I saw it!! I hardly remember when Ava looked like this, and that was only a year ago!!!

Yay, it's almost Friday!!!

Uncle Ro is coming to visit tomorrow!  He will be here until Tuesday.  Ava is excited!  We have been talking about it today, cleaning up the house, and getting ready for him to come!

Our friends Andrea and Chad gave us these books that their girls have grown out of.  Ava LOVES books and it was a very special treat for her to get all of these at one time!!! :)  We've spent a LOT of time reading her new stories over and over the last few days. Thank you Luke family!!! :)

Hugs!

I'm not big on bare belly pics, but Raf and I were laughing about my "old man at walmart" belly sticking out of the bottom of my shirt tonight. I guess I am past the point of being able to wear non-maternity shirts. He grabbed the camera to take a pic, and Ava ran in at the last second! I thought it was so sweet! Hugging her little sister. :)

This little girl is definitely more out front like a pumpkin than Ava was. 4 months to go!!

Ava moved her stool into the bathroom and got in to Mommy's "Lakeup" (Makeup) today. Luckily I caught her before she got into the messy stuff. :) She said "Mommy's Lakeup, so pretty!".

Sunshine!

It was gorgeous out today!! Daddy had to work overtime. We get to have him tomorrow though!!! YAY!!

Ava and I spent some time at the park. She is getting so daring and wants to climb on everything! She is pretty good at it now. Now it's just me that needs to work on just letting her do it.

Tonight we caught Ava sitting in the hallway brushing her barbie's hair! It was SO cute!!
