Chad and Shaun packed up Grandma's stuff from her storage unit and brought it all on that first Saturday too. Combining two houses worth of furniture and boxes has filled up the house really quick!
As soon as we moved, we started the remodel. It sounds silly because it's a brand new house, but we wanted the downstairs bedroom, bathroom, and part of the garage converted to a Mother-in-law unit for Grandma. Grandma wanted a bigger bathroom, so they have completely ripped out the brand new bathroom that was there! Grandma will have a separate entrance, wheel chair accessible unit (she doesn't need this now, but might need it as she gets older). Its so great!! We are excited to have Grandma living with us so that we can take care of her as she gets older. It's also quite a bonus to have a live-in babysitter so I can run to the store kid-free occasionally! :)
The girls have adjusted to the new house very well so far!! There hasn't been any extra tears that we've noticed! They are having so much fun running around in all this new space! It's MUCH bigger than they are used to!
