Harvest Day!!

Ava had harvest day at preschool! It was an exciting day! It was especially exciting for Mommy and Daddy since we got to come and watch her in action. Ava got tons of stuff from Mrs. Spencer's lush garden. It was so fun to see her interact with the other kids and see her pull everything from the earth! :) I am happy to say that we ate everything she picked!! Ava loves carrots. When we got home I peeled her one of her carrots. She would not eat it! She insisted on one from the fridge instead. She saw the dirt that was on it at one point and it creeped her out, I think. Silly kid!

Popsicle's!!

It has become a tradition at our house! Every day after pre-school, or after Reese's afternoon nap... popsicles! We have gone through 3 bags in 3 weeks! Ava talks about it every day on the way home from school. Reese just follows along, cuz that's what Reese does! :)

Preschool!!!

Ava had her first day of preschool today!! She was beside herself excited!! She had a great day and met a lot of new friends! YAY Ava! I am having a hard time with my baby growing! I only shed a few tears when we dropped her off, so I was pretty proud of myself. She was SO excited, so that helped us be excited too!

Finger paint!!

We ran out of finger paint a few months back. We finally replenished out stock. Ava was exstatic! Reese.... wasn't so sure.

Poor Reese!

Ava is no longer a napping child!! She still has quiet time, but it usually only lasts about 20 minutes. We have been laying her down on the couch with her blanket, and putting a show or movie on. She is such a social bug, she can't keep herself from talking to you if you are in the room. I love her. :)
With Ava no longer taking her afternoon nap, Mommy has really been missing her afternoon nap! Hehe. it is my guilty pleasure to nap when my kids nap. I have done it almost every day since Ava was born! We all nap at nap time.
A few days ago, I really wanted a nap! Daddy got put in charge of waking up Reese on this day so I could sneak in a little siesta. :) I found this picture on my camera a few days later. This is how he woke her up. Flashing the camera in her dark room!! Poor girl!

Ava glamour shoot!

Every once in awhile I will see some light on one of my kids' faces and run to grab my camera. This day, it happened to be in the kitchen by the dishwasher. Ava complained that her throat hurt. Poor girl got a camera in her face as she explained to Mommy how it felt. She is so beautiful and sweet, even when she doesn't feel well. :(

 

 

Makeup!

So, I finally decided to let Ava try on some makeup. She watches me do mine all the time and has been asking for a long time (especially the eyelash curler) to try it. We had some fun and took some pictures. She loved it, and totally hammed it up for me. Trying to act like a little diva. :)

Dream Light!!

We have had some major bed time problems with Ava since our trip to Chelan. I dreaded bed time! Ava would beg and beg for us not to leave the room, and when we did, she would scream. It was terrible and SO not like my Ava. When we got back home from Chelan, the sleep problems continued for a week! At one point, she even got up and was throwing toys, her monitor, everything she could at her door trying to make as much noise as possible to make us come in her room. What an awful experience! Rafael and I ended up going in to her room and taking EVERYTHING out except her bed. She had a completely empty room for a week. She didn't enjoy a minute of it. It was a really good learning experience for her.
She saw this dream light at the store one day and wanted it soooo bad. We made her promise that if she gave us no issues at bed time for a week, she would get it. Oh my goodness, what a turn around. She went from crying and whining at bed time, to a complete angel! When I kissed her goodnight she would say "Good night Mommy" and would not say another word all night!!! It was awesome!!!! She kept her word and got her dream light that weekend. She has been an angel ever since!! (well almost) :)
At first, Reese was terrified of the dream light! Ava tried to take her in the bathroom to show her, but as soon as the lights turned off and the dream light came on, Reese lost it! She was so scared of it! It took her a long time to warm up, but eventually she did!
