Potty trained!!

So I think I can now officially say that Ava is potty trained! (Mostly). After we had originally started a month ago or so, Ava got a cold and took a few days off. Since then, it has just been hit or miss. Sometimes she would go on the potty, sometimes not. Last Tuesday I decided to put away the diapers for good. All day Tuesday Ava ran around bare naked from the waist down. She knew she didn't have a diaper on, so that kept her from going on the floor. I would remind her every 5 minutes (literally) that she didn't have a diaper on, and did she need to go potty?. We went all day with only two accidents!! Wednesday she wore big girl panties (no pants) all day. We went all day with only one accident! Thursday we went to the grocery store and she used the public toilet twice!!! That was the first time she has ever gone on a public toilet! I was so proud!!! So, Thursday was accident free, Friday was accident free too! No diapers all day!!! YAY!!! Tomorrow we are going to put her pants back on. She has been running around in just underwear all week. I think our next heating bill is going to be insane! I have had the heat cranked so she wouldn't get cold.
Tomorrow night we are going to a friends house for dinner. We thought about just putting a pull-up on Ava, but I think we are going to take her in underwear! Scary!!! I think she will do fine.
Today we gave her a little break from the constant hounding to go potty. She went on her own for the most part all day! When she needed to go, she would take off her panties and go in the bathroom.
This has been a real lesson for Mommy! I think Ava could have been potty trained a long time ago if Mommy would have just pushed her more and kept reminding her to go potty.
I am so proud of my girl!!

Snow!

We woke up to snow a few days ago!! Ava was so excited, the first thing she said was "wanna make a snowman Mommy?". Unfortunately the snow was really hard and icy, so we couldn't make a snowman. Ava had fun playing in it, and actually touched it with her hands this time!! :)

New outfit!

This is an outfit that Ava got from Grandma for Christmas. It looks SO cute on her!!! It has inspired me to buy more dresses!

Counting!

She counts to ten in this video, but can count up to fourteen. When she gets to fourteen, she jumps to sixteen, then back to fourteen, sixteen, fourteen. Haha! :) I am so proud of my girl! Now she is actually counting how many there are instead of just saying the number.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I can't believe I am getting the Christmas post up on Christmas!!! I have been very behind on my blog, so I think there are 7 new posts tonight to make up for the last week and a half!

We had a GREAT Christmas! We got to spend Christmas Eve with my family. Last night Rafael and I were up until 2am helping Santa get Ava's Christmas ready! Wow, Santa must know how good she was this year! She got spoiled!!

When she woke up, we went in to her room to get her ready to see what Santa brought! The very first thing she went to was her new table/chairs and tea set!! She LOVES this tea set!! We have been having tea parties ALL day!

She got a doll house that is twice her size!! Talk about a serious upgrade from the tiny plastic little people doll house she had before! She has been having so much fun with it! I have been too!! Hehe. I love being able to be a kid again!
Ava has been running around so hyper like a little mad woman all day!! I think she had a pretty good day.

Tonight when we put her in bed, she asked if she could play with her dollies house when she woke up. Awww. :)

Rafael and I spoiled eachother too. I love you hunnee! :)

Having tea with Daddy!

Kisses for Mommy!

Ava oooing over Daddy's new video game!

Ava has been wanting this pillow pet for soooo long! They have them at the grocery store, and ever since they started carrying them, Ava has to stop and hold it and hug it every time we go grocery shopping! She has always been so good about putting it back. It was a pretty big deal to finally get one!!!

Showing her new toys to Grandma!

Christmas Eve at Grandma's!

Yesterday we went to Grandma's house for Christmas Eve dinner. Ava got to play with her cousins. We had a really good time! My family really spoiled us! Ava and Reese got a ton of stuff!!!

Famiyl pic! Ava didn't get her nap, so she was pretty tired by the time this picture was taken.

Aunt Na and Ava's cute cousins!

Kissing the Dino she got from Uncle Shaun.

Carousel ride!!

Ava has been talking about the carousel at the Super mall for months!! She loves it! There is a Verizon commercial that plays on TV right now that has a short clip of a carousel. When it come on, Ava asks you to play it again over and over! It is so cute. I just love how magical it is to her.
When Rafael got off work on Thursday we drove to the Super mall to ride the carousel. I think the carousel operator thought we were crazy. We would get off and get back in line. We made the trip there just to ride it, we wanted to make it worth it!! Ava got to ride the moose(reindeer), kitty, zebra, chicken, dragon.... she was in heaven!!
Afterwards we got Daddy his favorite sandwich from his favorite sandwich shop there, and went home!

This is not a great picture of Ava, but LOOK at Daddy! He still makes my heart beat fast. What a hottie!!!!!

Christmas cookies!

Ava helped me make cookies the other day!! She did really good, and loved to be on the chair helping.
