Easter!!

We had such a fun and busy Easter this year! Ava had an egg hunt with her friends Devin and Aaron from next door on Friday. We decorated our eggs on Saturday, and stayed super busy on Sunday! Easter started off with the girls waking up to their Easter baskets. Then we headed to the back yard for an egg hunt! Ava did awesome and found them all! Reese stopped at the first one she came to and opened it up. She found m&m's inside, so she pretty much stopped at that. When she opened the egg, the m&m's fell all over the grass. She spent her time picking them out of the grass and stuffing them in her mouth. YUM! She did wander off a little and find a few more eggs. Ava was SO excited for the egg hunts this year. About a week before Easter she wanted to pretend we were having egg hunts. She brought 4 or 5 little toys outside and had Mommy hide them so she could find them. I guess the training paid off!!
Easter afternoon we headed to our friends Ken and Liz brother's house for Easter festivities. WOW they know how to celebrate! The afternoon was packed with egg dying, plastic egg decorating, a scavenger hunt, Easter egg hunt, and a never ending supply of food! We had so much fun and Ava and Reese were so busy! They were exhausted by the time we got home.

LOTS of pictures!

Liz helping Ava decorate an egg.

 Juice break!!

This was the end of the scavenger hunt. At the bottom of the 2 liter was a key that opened up one of 6 locks to find the prize. It seriously must have taken so long to put this hunt together! It was packed with puzzles, clues, it was so cool!  Mentos experiment!

This picture cracked me up for so many reasons! Major egg placement fail... or tree +1, Ava fail. And check out the kid in the green shirt. He can't even pick up his bucket, it is so full.

Easter eggs!

We decorated eggs the day before Easter. We had so much fun! Ava's favorite part was putting the stickers on at the end. She was a little disappointed when we made use of the hard boiled eggs in the days following. She wanted to keep them in the fridge forever!

 Reese taste testing...

 YUM!!

 Until she hit the yolk...

Why you give this stuff to me?!!?

A random Ava moment!

Ava playing on her bed. Aunt Na and her cousin Jessica gave her this house. She has learned that she has to play with it on her bed because the animals are too small for Reese to play with. She LOVES it!

Weird weather!

We had the coolest, weird weather tonight. I LOVE it when it rains super hard, but is sunny at the same time! Ava and Reese were both standing at the back window watching it pour. It was so bright outside too, it was cool! Ava was asking if there was going to be a rainbow, since the sun and rain were out together. I kept telling her "maybe"... well, she got her wish!! She has no pants. Hehe. We just put on her rain boots and headed out to see it before it went away.

Mory bunny pics!!

I just realized I missed a whole bunch of pictures from Reese's bunny outfit pics! Here are a few more, more natural Reese-o pics. I love her goofy little personality! There are also some of my precious Ava from the same day! :) It was SO cold outside! I don't know how Reese was even smiling for any of these pictures! Ava's nose was pink and she was enjoying the cold wind.

Happy Easter!!

We ordered this ADORABLE crochet bunny outfit for Reese for Easter. We went outside for a few pics. The rocking chair was mine when I was little! It was an oak color. We painted and sanded it. I love how it turned out!! Happy Easter!! I have a TON more Easter stuff to post. I will get to it!

Ollie

SO... I know they say goldfish have no brain...or a very tiny one at that. They say they forget where they are only seconds after they swim there. I completely disagree. Ollie is special. When Ava first picked him out at the pet store, he was the only fish with his face planted at the side of the tank staring at her. She picked him. He does the same thing now. He knows who Ava is. She is the only one that feeds him. As soon as she gets close to the tank he comes right up and stares at her. He follows her as she moves around her nightstand. He is a special fish. Ava has two fish. The other one (Goldie), I believe the brain theory. That fish just swims aimlessly and will eventually come up for food when it is dropped in there. Ollie stares...

And begs...

Ava and Reese playing!

Oh how I have waited for this day! I can't really say that it all happened "one day", but Ava and Reese are SO cute together lately! They chase each other... play with toys together...Ava is usually pretty good about sharing, with few fires to put out. If she takes something from Reese, sometimes Reese doesn't care and moves on. When Reese has a fit, Ava is quick to give whatever it is back to make Reese stop crying. It is such an amazing feeling to be in the kitchen doing dishes and hear my kids both laughing in the next room!! Sometimes they are both crying... it is not always great, but I am pretty happy with how well they entertain each other!

And a random pic... Reese, just waking up from a nap with Mommy. :) Nice hair Reese!!

A flower for Ava

There was a knock at our back door the other day. My heart melted for Ava when I saw this!! I couldn't help but to grab my camera (which happened to be on the kitchen table, very close) and capture this moment.
