Easter!

What a crazy day!!

Here are some of the 5 million Easter pictures we took! I have a lot from Ava's Easter egg hunts to post too. Those will come later. :)




Ava was insistent that Reese was stinky. Poor Reese. This was seriously the best picture of both of them in their matching dresses I could get! Ugh! Silly kid. :)

Blessing

Reese had her baby blessing last Sunday. Her Uncle Todd did the blessing. It was so beautiful! Thank you so much Todd! Thank you Christina for putting everything together for the blessing. I din't know what we would do without you guys! You are the BEST!!
Reese did really good. She started to cry a little at the very end of the blessing. Whew! She looked so beautiful in her dress! The dress material was a little course, so we were quick to take it off of her when we got home. I am going to get her dress back on her tomorrow and take some pictures. I will add them to this post. She looked like such a little angel! Thank you for the beautiful dress Momma! It was perfect!
After the blessing everyone came to our house for a little after party. It was so fun, and not very often that we get our family together. We missed Uncle Shaun and Uncle Chad though!

Sunshine!

Wow, we finally got some sun yesterday!! We headed over to the park and got some playing in before the rain came!

Uncle Ro's visit!

We had so much fun with Uncle Ro! He came for the week last week to visit. Ava would not leave him alone for even a second. She was so happy to see him.
We were pretty busy while he was here, and had a lot of fun! Thank you for coming Uncle Ro! Ava has been talking about you ever since you left.
Ro and Jackie are expecting their first baby in September. Ro got some practice with Reese, and a taste of what a non-stop, hyper, temperamental 2 year old is like. :)

Bath time!

Ava likes to help with Reese's baths. It works out good because Ava is a distraction for Reese. Reese has been doing much better with her baths lately and makes it through most of them without crying now! Yay!



You can really see Reese's umbilical hernia. Poor girl. I am so glad it doesn't hurt her!

Spring fair!

We went to the Spring Fair in Puyallup last Friday. It was so fun! Ava has been looking forward to the pony ride all year since we went last year. It rained on us, but not too bad. There were not a lot of people there, so I think we picked a good time to go!
Ava went on a whole bunch of rides. It is so fun that she can go on almost all of the kiddie rides now! Last year she was too short for all of them! She wanted to go on everything!!! It was a little nerve wracking for Mommy and Daddy to let her go alone on the rides that took her up high, but we made it through... :)


Dock dogs! This was fun, and Ava loved it. These puppies would jump off this dock after a ball and land in the water. She has been playing "dock dogs" with her toys in the tub every night since. :)

The pony ride Ava has been waiting for for a whole year!!!





She wasn't too sure about the boat. She kept this wrinkled face the whole time.

Ava's Uncle Ro is here visiting! We have had a fun few days with him so far, and have a fun week ahead of us! Ava LOVES her Uncle Ro! She hasn't left him alone for 5 minutes since he got here.

Reese's blessing was yesterday! It was beautiful!!! I can't wait to get some pictures of her in her dress on here. She looked like such a little angel! I will post all about it and some pictures soon!! :)

Ava's first haircut!

Ava got her first haircut on Saturday!! She did awesome! She was excited about it since we had been talking about it for a few days. I am pretty sure I can keep up with trimming her new doo at home, now that it is shaped nice. She really needed the trim. Her hair was all different lengths in the back. Yay Ava!!

Catching up!

Hi!! Wow it has been almost two weeks since I put anything on here!!

Things are going great! Reese had her 1 month appointment last week on Friday. She weighed 10 lbs 8 oz!! She has gained about 2.5 pounds since she was born! She had to get a vaccine. That was sad. I remember that was always so hard for me with Ava. Reese cried so hard! The doc said she looks great! Her Thrush was almost gone at that point, and I think it is gone now. Reese also has an umbilical hernia. Her little belly button sticks out really far. The doc said it is not a big deal and will shrink and go away by the time she is 1. He said it doesn't hurt her, it just looks like a swollen belly button, if you can picture that.

Grandma came last weekend to watch Ava and Reese so Raf and I could go out for my birthday. We went to Olive Garden. It was so much fun!! We took forever to order our food and just relaxed and spent a lot of time talking. We don't usually get a chance to relax when we go out to dinner with the little ones! After dinner we went to Toys R' Us and bought Ava some toys. Imagine that!! She is a spoiled kid!

I love all of the silly things Ava says. It is so fun to watch her language develop. Today she made me laugh so hard! We have a mylar balloon floating around our house. Ava brought it to ma and said "Here, have that". I took it and let it go up to the ceiling. Then Ava said "You dropped it up there"? Haha!! How do you answer that? I just said "ya". I didn't know how to explain that dropped is something going down, not up. She is so cute. She is getting really good and dressing herself lately! She can go potty by herself now and come out with her panties and pants up! YAY!! That makes the potty trips so much easier for me! Especially when I am feeding Reese. It is so nice that she can do it all (except wash her hands) by herself!

Reese is doing really good! She had a 5 hour stretch of sleep last night!! Woohoo for me!!! She is smiling SO much the last few days. It is so fun! I can't believe that my baby girl is already a month and a half old. Where does the time go?! It is so exciting and so sad all at the same time! Raf and I were talking about this and I think we are anxious for Reese to get a little bigger so she can play with Ava. Ava is so cute and every time Reese is laying on the floor, Ava is laying next to her. Before Ava's nap she always asks if Reese can lay next to her... every time Reese cries, Ava is right by her side... I just love it. I could not ask for a sweeter big sister for Reese that Ava! I can tell that she is going to be a protective big sister. I think she will Mommy Reese a lot. My big sister was like that to me, and I have so many memories of that. I remember having nightmares and waking up yelling for my sister to come comfort me. Sisters are amazing!!! :)

We have been holed up with a nasty cold all week!! Ava only had a couple bad days and it is going away now. Rafael barely got it, but mine has been bad! It started last Sunday, and I just got my sense of smell back yesterday! I think the worst part of being congested is n ot being able to taste your food. What is the point of eating if you can't enjoy it?! Reese was a little snorty, but it never got worse for her than that. YAY! I was so worried that she would get it as bad as I did and not be able to eat!










Every time Reese is on her play mat, this is where Ava is. :) I love them!!
